Help identifying cuffs

Hi fellow collectors so i just got a pair of handcuffs that are shaped like peerless 300 (sorry not sure how to upload pics). So all they have on them is pic made in spain 4470. Im guessing pic is the brand/maker but i uave never heard of them. Many thanks

Hi

Pic is a brand name. The cuffs come out of spain at the alcyon factory
Nowadays they dont use that brand name anymore but the cuffs
are good quality cuffs

So are they just alcyon cuffs then but old kind of like american munitions changed to american handcuff co. Any idea on the sge of them and if they was standered issue

I have 1 pair of modern alcyon 5050 model I think (black oxide) and they are the smoothest, nicest quality feeling cuffs I own. Even disengaging the double lock feels like waking up from a wonderful dream, just a really satisfying, almost spring loaded smooth click. I love them. Although they are a bit hard chisel edged, so not as "comfortable" to wear as some brands/models, but not bad either.

Here is a picture of the Spanish made "PIC" cuffs. These are the ones you are referring to?

I'm no expert, but the fact there are no rivets and only the pawl pivot is showing leads me to believe that either they are a really early model that is not as strong as modern ones, or it is somewhat on the lower cost side of things as "Viper" handcuffs which have the same configuration. I just do not know how smooth everywhere can mean strength.

I do not know a whole lot of the company, "Alcyon." I do know that they manufacture cuffs and sell them under several different names. Sherlock, Chief of Police, Romo, Romo Detective. Just to name a few. They also make or made in the past (not sure if they still do or not) the Fury brand to sell in the U.S. All of their stuff looks the same. Just different names and all are stamped "made in spain." Except, of course, for the Fury cuffs. I believe the PIC cuffs come from the mid to late 70s. But, dont quote me on that. I couldnt find a lot of info to share about Alcyon.
