Being a brit, we do not celebrate Jul 4th, as you may have an awareness. For us, I think it is more likely handcuff an American day :P

Just because i do not celebrate it does not mean i can not pass on my best to the people that do. As for using my name in what way is that appropriate to the post. Just because some people log in with a email does not mean everyone knows who that is. People can have fake emails and so on.

On other hand I do realize logging in to the account mean the login name that shows now on posts ca'nt be faked. Beacuse anyone can use any name but login names are never fake.

Anyone can have 10 diffrent emails though and up to this point no one else has wasted their own time to log out to use my name to log back in because most people just want to share and learn about their hobby.
Seems there is going to be two of me on here now. Me and somone who likes to log out post as me then log back in.

To Martin (the real one...) I think the guy is trying to say that a login is an actual username and people cannot have the same username. So if you actually login then people can always see you are the real martin. Nobody can alter their actual login name that now appears next to the chosen name someone can type. I could call myself Martin if I wanted to, as you know, but people would see mtht as my login. If someone wanted to pose as mtht they could type their name as mtht but the login would either say "no login" or it would have a fake user login like billybob or mtht2 or something. Nobody else can have mtht or what ever yours is. I recommend you login to avoid issues. Else nobody knows who is you and who's this other guy or guys, since the typing seems inconsistent.

Seriously, it's not hard to login. I have logged in once and it has not logged me out yet. It's not inconvenient at all. What's inconvenient is typing your name, but if you are logged in you can call yourself ewrghehrth if you want and people will see your login name. For example I am going to alter my name before I post this, so you can see that I am actually the real mtht.

I get what you are saying. I was not aware that it would stay logged in tho as like i say i have not logged in for years now and use to be on a pc now i do everything from my iphone so ill give it a go see what happens

Also, in this day and age almost every single forum requires you to login to prevent spam. This forum software is from a different time in history when such things were of no concern or even acknowledgement. It seems network54 never updated or revamped it up to 2016 standards. Still, the guy behind this forum has done everything he can and I totally get his decision not to move away from this because of the history that people can search for.

What I would recommend the owner of this forum look for converters, some kind of new modern forum which has the facility to keep an archive copy of all the forum posts here and allow people to participate on a modern forum going forward with all the protections and features that we have these days.
