They uave notches cut into the bow as far as im aware

yes, there are notches cut into the bow..they tried velcro but sadly that failed,,,so back to good ole' notches or soutn of the border, natchos

I have a pre-patent model and it has quite a few extra notches in the bow.
It was made for the Mexican Army so the extra positions are known as " Bonus noches".
