Hiatt age

Hi could anyone give me a rough estimate on the age of these. I have read that because they say british made this means post 1920 but im sure they are not as old as say 50s as they have the older looking connector between the chain links. So would i be right in thinking they must be between 1920 1940. Also is it easy to find a key for these or would they be unique also a good way to open them i tried some string as houdini said in his book but i guess im no magician haha. Many thanks

Looks like a good old hand made swivel to me, and I see no reason that they could not be 1920-1940 ish. Doesn't look like the more modern bright chrome finish to me.
In stead of string try wire. Make a loop big enough to just fit over the bolt, twist the 2 wire ends until the loop grips the thread and give it a pull. To remove the wire, just untwist until it releases.

Thanks guys. Thats what i was thinkig they dont look new and have no chome. I will try some wire. I had to watch that video a few times lol
