Hello All~
I have a pair of H & R vintage Handcuffs and am having a hard time finding a value. All of the ones I see online have a pat. number....these however say pat. Pending. They also have 1242 stamped on them. not sure if that is a model number? Any Guidance will be great, thank you.

Yours is a 1st Model H&R Super Cuff Model 123

Yours has the serial number 1242. The serial number feature was dropped on later models.

Another thing that separates the 1st model and the next ones is that the swinging bows on yours do not have the ditched or security channels.
Later models had the channel milled in the bow to interlock with a punched in dimple in the lock body. If someone were to punch in the rivet the bow would remain locked to the cuff body. The bow would still be secured to the wrist as it is locked in place to the cuff body because of the dimple riding in the channel.

I would say a first model 123 is in the $150-175 range.

I would say at the least $150. If you had the original box and paperwork it might be $200. My dad has an H&R revolver and it's not worth much unlike the handcuffs are
