seems to be 1970's. Key fit figure eight darbies and 115 pattern.

I don't know since I only bought the key. I own a pair of 104's from the 1950s

The above posts are right, generally speaking the Hiatt 115 adjustable pattern was supplied by Hiatt with the steel key marked A. Certainly the first set of Hiatt 115 pattern cuffs I bought from Hiatt in 1968 had this A key. The keys for the 104 pattern were as previously stated a slightly different TPI cut. However about two years ago I did get a nearly mint condition set of Hiatt 104 pattern cuffs with the original A key so they do exist. You will probably find your key will open some of the newer (post 1960) 104 handcuffs but only as a pull key.
