Opinions on ANHUA model HC-021W or ANHUA in general?

Here is what I am looking at right now due to the design and price. What't their brand's quality like and do you have any thoughts or opinions on this model?

Condition: new

if you are going to base your purchase on opinion sort via the internet, then you are mad.

IMHO, these are the best cuffs in the whole whole whole world, they are made of metal and it looks shiny, they are great and they have keys, oh how i love keys, they unlock things, that is great. my friends and fgam9ly will be proud of me when i show them these cuff and the price, well yes it cost money but heck, look how good these are.

So one positive reply, how many to either + or - before you order one, if at all?

Yes I know, it is insane to come to a handcuff forum where people meet online to talk about handcuffs and ask the people what their opinions are on a pair of handcuffs and the brand making them as a whole. Utterly insane of me.

I mean, no sane person would seek the opinions of others and since every other sane person understands this on a basic level, so nobody would ever waste time implementing a product review system into sites like eBay or Amazon and thousands of other sites.

I have spent countless hours in forums over the last 25 years, and I am now convinced that the troll here is hands-down the most childish one I have ever seen. In fact, I am convinced it is the same person doing 99% of the trolling, because there is no way possible way there could be TWO people on this planet that could be this immature.

They may be a copy, but to me, safariland, TCH, Hiatt all the same thing essentially. I have so far heard from the vendor they have never had any back from customers but you know how that goes, pinch of salt and all that. I have heard from one member of TOOOL who really likes them and thinks the quality is fine. So that is why I am here hoping to get more detailed info from people who may have experience either with the brand or the model I am looking into.

It would be wonderful to have a pair of those, but the price is astronomically too high for me to justify spending on a pair of handcuffs. The reason I have interest in these ANHUA ones is the fact they are designed based on the TCH or HIATT original versions and apparently they are used by the actual chinese police. So my assumption is that the quality shouldn't be "bad" else why would a nation state actively use them in high security environments?

It has nothing to do with locking rigid, it simply operates the double locking mechanism. I know this from a member of TOOOL who has confirmed this.

the cylinder revolves a helix which shunts the double lock bar back and forth. I know this because of the handcuff board and not another site.

Wow really? I was thinking of how they could achieve this double lock and I thought they would extend a bar coming up from the pawl bar and when you turn the wafer lock there would be a big hole so when you open the normal key the pawl bar and it's extended part can move into the hole and open but if you turn the wafer lock the other way the hole is rotated out of access and the pawl would bump against the wall of the wafer lock's cylinder wall thus blocking movement of the pawl.

I was wrong about this I guess. Or your info maybe on the original versions from TCH or HIATT and my idea might be used in a cheaper copy like these? Do you know your info works with this particular brand?

I don't have the tools and they are too expensive to destroy. So if I understand you correctly, it is not a 2 position thing, turn to this to lock, turn to the other mark to unlock, you keep screwing round and round until the bar fully moves into the locked or unlocked position? Not sure how much turning/movement we are talking here?

To the person that emailed me again. I am sorry if you are offended that I don't reply by email but I cannot reply on that address. It is forwarded to a server and I can read the message. I do not give out or engage in email sending to anyone I do not know. That is why I am here openly sharing info and posing questions on this public forum with a name I am comfortable doing so with. As I already said, more simplistically where I only can email with my outlook email which I give nobody but close friends. Of course it is your choice to either help me and provide information or not. I have no idea who you are, what your intentions are, what your technological capabilities are.

In order for me to actually email with you I would have to take great steps to set up a brand new email account somewhere and anonymous encrypted access via VPN with extensions enabled in the browser to prevent all scripts and malicious download attempts, all inside a virtual environment. That is too much work. I am an IT guy and I know the risks email can pose.

They are a cheaply made copy of the original design made by Hiatt. The original is, of course, much better overall. Will the Chinese knock-offs do the job? Yes. Is it something i would trust or use in a professional capacity? No. Made of cheaper materials, edges and surfaces not finished as well. Internals are not as smooth as a Hiatt. They are way easier to get than an original Hiatt. And way cheaper. But, they do not and will not stack up to the overall quality of the original.

I am not a fan of these handcuffs. I know this is a collectors forum but when I look at making a handcuff purchase, I am looking for security. One of the security problems here would be the length of these handcuffs. It looks like I could easily move my hands from the back underneath my legs to the front. This for me would be a security risk.
