Peerless 300 with no serial

Hi. Did peerless make model 300 with no serial number at any point as i have just got a pair that have not serial but all the other stampings are still very clearly visible so im thinking its not worn away. They are 300 with stamps the peerless handcuff co springfield mass on front of both cuffs and on rear of both cuffs patent 1531451-1872857 made in usa. They appear to have been blue/black but now seem a patina like brown. Just trying to date them really bit with no serial just woundered if it was known that peerless maybe made some with no serial at a certain point in time. Many thanks martin

Many of the handcuffs used by the Federal Government were not marked, I have seen many issued to Army M.P's which had no numbers.

Thats interesting i did not know this but i guess without a serial no there is no way to daye them? Thankyou for the information. martin
