Stamp on old handcuffs

Hi,

We've had these handcuffs in the family for years. I can't see any identifiable brand like "Hiatt", but did find some distinguished markings on them.
My Great Uncle was a Bobby in Sussex, my Dad, Grandparents were all in WWI & WWII in the British Army or Navy, one was a POW. So I think the cuffs are of British origin.

It has the stamp RAN and then something else I can't really make out, plus 2 lines.

If anyone has any information about these cuffs, please let me know. The image of the stamp can be seen here.

A quick Google search of R.A.N. and a few other key words, has come up with "Royal Australian Navy" as a possibility? No way to confirm if it is their marking or not tho.

It is part of the stamp WARRANTED WROUGHT I think.

Great call on that! LOL! I completely looked past the obvious on this one. My bet, with the placement and layout, that is what this is.
