If it is true what i've read about Hiatt speedcuffs being offered for public sale always having the # serial number ground off and this set is un-altered and complete then I can understand someone really really wanting it in their collection

Seems pretty hight to me even if they are new most of the time sell of £20. You can get them with he number still on it is a rule that any item with identification to the police be removed but its not impossible to come across intact pairs.
