Dowler

Hi,
Can anyone (Joe???) give me an idea of the age of the latest addition to my collection? The cuffs are both marked 'Dowler' and '8'. There seems to be something wrong with the swivel as it doesn't turn. I know it's hard to date darbies but I was just wondering if they are actual Dowlers or if they could be made by Hudson (I've read your book Joe ).

Truth be - I don't know. But - I think the Dowler's like yourse with the simple "DOWLER" trademark are the newest ones. I guess this means I think they were made by Hudson. The Dowlers that say W. Dowler look older.
