Great piece.
I wonder about the rerason for the short chain. I've not seen the short chain on other Romer Leg irons. The markings are different than the other Romer and Walton Romer marked cuffs and Leg irons I have seen. It is usually in one oval mark, and not split into 2 separate marks.
