Mark, interesting set of Lilly leg irons you got on EBay. I fell asleep again.
Any idea what the deal is on the chain? The set I have and all the pics I've seen all have oval links, not the twisted chain like that one.
However, looking at the pictures they look right as can be. Maybe they borrowed some chain from Tower?

I have one like the ebay LI, but with 7 twisted links, and an oval link on each end.

Sorry, I do not check this forum as oftenas the regular one.
I had a short chain version with all oval links and as I have a strong desire to be just like Stan, I snagged the long twisted version while you were sleeping.
This one has 6 twisted links and that odd longer clevis. Both bolts are secure so they do not drop out as is common with many Lilly's.
I have been updating my photo album (quite time consuming). On the back of some of the pictures, I like to keep historical notes or information. On the back of the photo of the short chain LI, I made a note: "A seven link twisted link version is known to exist". This was probably entered before Stan won his on ebay if this is where he got his. If so, it was one of those rare times that he won something that I was looking at.
Anyway, I am glad to be able to add this to the collection. Now to find a 7 link!
