Is there a way to identify the older Smith 100s that have a removable Pawl Pin, using the serial number on various cuffs?

I’ll rephrase. i want to buy Smith 100s that have a removable Pawl Pin and zI want to know if there is a change-over point in the derails number stamped on the case?

The S&W 100 (above ) and the Peerless 700 (below) both have the pin which can be knocked out to alter the pawl.  
Our Sheriff Museum had a pair of cuff that the visitors could play with and the cuffs failed to unlock.  We had to call the fire dept. to get them removed.
With the new pair we got, I punched the pin and ground down the 3 or 4 teeth on the pawl (and removed the double lock cam ) so that keys were no longer needed and the cuffs just pull apart,
