#3Does anyone know who got them? Their going price went above my reach, at the moment. Really a rare piece. I hope they found their way into a deserving collection. I tried for the Stotz too. But, was outbid, just slightly in the last few seconds. My chase for an original Stotz, continues.

I also wondered who got them. Do you know if they were made by John? I'm lucky to have one of his Lilly miniatures which I have pictures posted in an earlier post.

#13Elliot had a miniature Mirror Cuff at Indy this year. It may have been the one in the picture with John, above? Very cool little piece to see in person and to hold for a few minutes. About as close as I will ever get to owning them! As far as minatures go, i have on of David Kucer's Mini Peerless cuffs. Amazing little piece of art!

#14Fred, I just love these miniatures. I've been after a miniature Hiatt Darby cuff. These miniatures were made by a man working in the factory back in time.
Now they are owned by his son which I belive is about 70 years old. I've tried to buy them for a decade or so. I've been promised to buy them that day he decides to sell.
I hope I'm still alive then...

I was fortunate enough to inherit my pair of mini Darby's "The Bobby Handcuffs" from my close friend ad mentor Larry Weeks
The Bobby Handcuffs I believe were made by Froggott for Houdini's fox terrier dog name Bobby... Who was escaping from them in 1918 and billed as the only Handcuff King Dog. Houdini's dig at all the Handcuffs Kings that popped up after his success with his handcuff act

The bulk of those miniatures were made by me and loaned to John Bushey to set up a display to take to Indy. John wanted a bit more motivation to travel during is last few years and so he assembled this little collection. In many discussions in the last years and especially over his legacy and will, I had been assured by John that my miniatures would be returned. After his passing, John's sister Barbara told me nothing was coming back to me and I wasn't even mentioned in his will. All the unsold and unpaid stock from my defunk escape business and dozens of replacement handcuff keys at John's place have not be returned or paid for either but likely to have been sold off. Disgraceful.
Ian, could you tell me if the Lilly miniature that I have was made by you or John.

I gave details needed to construct them and form the hinges to John. As these was the quickest and easiest to make, both John and made made several of them. While John was visiting my place I made one right there in front of him so he knew the process.
