#1Hello guys im actually bidding on a pair of handcuffs and i would like to know if its a real pair of hiatt and if possible getting more info about this one...

Sounds as a old version of Hiatts-2010, with the rounded swivel. But the markings are strange, usually one can read Hiatts/Made in England. And bow seem thinner than normal (or it's due to the picture).
Can we have a closer look of these markings ?

#7Certainly look real, definitely hiatt-y, definitely not cheap, for something like this, it's not worth creating a fake, so I'd say genuine.

Typically referred to as "1980" from what I have heard. It's from the 80's. There's a lightweight model which looks identical which I would love to get my hands on. about 105g I believe.
RE: "Hiatt 1980" handcuff....
There actually was a (rare) Hiatt aluminum swing-through... called & marked: "1980 MADE IN ENGLAND".
Easily recognized by each keyhole having TWO NOTCHES for the key's "bitt" to enter & exit.
This was covered here by Chris Gower, in 2008. Also, see the Alex Nichols book(s).

Very close, my set weight 106 gram.
I think because of the rivets still having their heads, it would probably be more structurally secure than S&W 926.
