Remembering Jack Tanis

I had not seen this site before. Great pics and great information on there! He looks to have put a lot of time into the collection he had. Thank you for sharing the site with us.

Jack was one of the wittiest guys around. Some of the funniest one liners were posted as replies to other comments here on the board. With the recent inquiry into the history of Kayser, Google thru up Jack's Website which I thought was gone.

Jack was such a swell, kind guy with always something fun to say. Sure miss him.

Can’t believe it’s been six years.

He wrote to me once and said, I looked for you on Facebook (which sucks) and all it said was friend :Carol (my wife of 35 years).” “What’s the deal?”

I wrote back and said, “oh my gosh, it doesn’t say we’re sleeping together, does it???”

I could see him blushing over the net. What great guy.

Jack had a wonderful sense of humor and we would go back and forth with our wit.

I don't remember the joke we had going when I took his pic and made it into a mug shot but here it is.
My only pic of him.
I do miss him very much!

Thanks for the photo, I also had that one but couldn't find it when I posted. His pommy wit was brilliant and clever.  As soon as I found out of his passing I contacted the funeral home immediately. They never got back to me so I could never convey my heart felt loss  and my condolence to his family.  There are few gentlemen and Jack was one of those few.
 

Dear old Jack Tanis will always be remembered for his great posts.
I used to often rib him about his iconic name.
