Restraint from Senegal slavery

they don't look authentically old in the  they way they were made.

They are old

“Opinion Plus” in which way should they be made to be old?

They are what is known as "Puzzle Lock leg Irons" in which the spring loaded bow is compressed when inserted into the lock body and the inactive side is locked by threading the rest of the unopened lock side through it.
To my knowledge, no reproduction manufacturer has made these in any quantity and/or quality
There is no modern production techniques used to manufacture these.  All the parts are hand forged and metal stamping or welding procedures aren't used.
Could some metal worker have made one in the last few years?
I would imagine so, but I have never seen such work and he would have been pretty talented.

Thanks to your suggestions Mark Lyon I figured out the way to lock the irons properly.
