Great video and two great finds. The newspaper article is very interesting.
As for the Darby, I have never heard of them. As you say I suspect that the Johnson company was just an importer.
The closest thing I have it a classic English Darby that is marked T.E. Thomson Calcutta. I have assumed that Thomson was an importer.
You never know what you are going to find.
