Styles of figure eight cuffs wrongly named, now the norm

I am trying to help a new collector who has informed me, he wants a figure 8 (Irish eight) cuff.  He has told me he has located one with a flat key and not a screw key. 
I thought I'd send a photo to confirm the shape/design he was after. I did a google search for an image I could cut and paste. It came back with mainly KUB products that are poorly and frankly wrongly named . This misinformation will be the future terms for figure eight style cuffs. This will be confusing to both new and old collectors when cuffs are discussed without photos being also used to identify model. It is a real problem. I get lots of people writing to me and I often don't know what they are talking about.
Usually they want to know how much their cuff is worth.  It is shiny so it must be expensive.
Or sometimes it is rusty and looks very old so it must be worth a bunch.

The KUB 8 style cuff with a Hamburg 8 style lock is certainly not what any of us would call a Irish 8.
There is also a Darby style cuff with a Hamburg 8 style lock just to confuse things more.

Always nice to hear from a citizen from the polite nation. Here is a photo of a genuine German made Hamburg eight. It's an elegant figure eight handcuff that folds on it's central locks axis. There are several styles of key and keyhole designs but the mechanism it typically a simple spring loaded toggle which need to be pushed back via the key.  The KUB design is a chunky shape and odd locking to some who have had the real thing. Funny story with the KUB model, an entrepreneurial US Christian pastor called Clyde Miguel  sent KUB an original Hamburg eight to copy and give him sole rights for selling in the USA. The pastor already knew that I was making copies of the Hamburg eight but being as christians usually are, he didn't see this an a moral or ethical issue to undermine my small niche of the market place.  Praise the pastor's mythical master, KUB didn't honour the pastors request and now we all have access to cheap copies and Clyde sold himself out in the venture.

Seriously , I imagine that most of you Boys are from the other side of the Pond and Customs on my End can be a problem when trying to send items out of the country but a little bit of " Grease " can go a long way ! Good thing about Corruption !
I haven't even tried yet but my plan is to send a Container full of desirable and Valuable things to a place full of buyers and resellers . I am NOT a DEALER; I have just begun collecting but if we can ALL make Money , Sell History , and Have Fun Then what's the problem !

I don't know if it will work because the WEBSITE doesn't like for people to send links! They are extremely protective of their listings and they don't even allow the BUYERS to Contact the SELLERS directly!
You can ask a question about the item and the seller can answer any questions but the Buyer's IDENTITY is not reveled to the seller UNTIL the BUYER buys the ITEM which is absolutely ridiculous! Nothing like EBAY!

But what do you expect from the ARGENTINES !

There is a great way to get around this problem. Check out the SELLER'S other items and purchase something for almost NOTHING and that gives you the SEllER'S contact information so you can avoid the OUTRAGEOUS Commissions that they charge the sellers and you can usually obtain a good DISCOUNT on an expensive item !
 
For example I have a Very Unique Headphone AMP for about $400K and my FEES are over 40K !

I will try this way and you can Search in English and you will get there but select USED and Antiques or you will see Antiques Made in CHINA YESTERDAY !
