Movie Prop Cuffs.

Here is an auction item i recently purchased. This is a set of resin darby handcuffs that was used in the Nicole Kiddman flick, "Cold Mountain."  I have not seen the flick, so I cant say if Nicole was ever confined in these or not?  I find it kind of funny that they made a resin copy of an Indian Darby! LOL! They could have copied any cuff they wanted to and chose to copy a $20 replica. They have a magnetic catch that holds the bows shut. They are rather stiff, so if these were used for more than just a background prop, they were used on someone with small wrists. I have been opening up my collection to include some movie prop handcuffs with proper Certificates of Authenticity.

The Rankin Leg Iron is from the TV series, "Once Upon a Time." Another series I am not familiar with. These are made out of foam and resin. Except for the chain, they did a nice job, copying the original Rankin design. They also have a C.O.A. with them.

The Steel Box used in 1953 Houdini movie with Tony Curtis...who got it?

I know the box you are referring to, but i do not have any knowledge of where it may be? It would be a great piece of cinema history to have! I know a lot of big name collectors and magicians have purchased a lot of items used in related movies. And just about anything to do with Houdini has sold for significant prices. So, that would limit the collection they go into. I have yet to own any pieces from Houdini. One day, i hope to change that. But on my budget...its not likely! LOL!
