Stop the Presses!

I know that most cuff collections do get noticed by the local press but a few us were interviewed by our local papers or on the news.
I was fortunate to be featured on a TV show, an antique newspaper and our hometown paper about me and mine.
Florence Henderson (AKA  Mrs. Brady) had a show on the Retirement Channel and invited me to do a collectors corner segment..
What great fun it was!  

This one was published 4 years ago, today.  There is a video that they did to compliment it too.

In the fourth pic, the one with the guy in green, long sleeve shirt, is that one of Ian's Berliner Cuffs? It looks exactly like the one, i just got, recently. Very cool to see you get the recognition for an amazing collection! I have not had any press coverage. But, to be honest, not many people know i have a cuff collection, except my friends.

No, It is not Ian's cuff.

It is the actual handcuff that Houdini opened in front of the Judge at 1 of the 3 trials he was a party to in Cologne Germany when he was accused of defrauding its citizens.
Houdini's assistant smuggled it out of the court room after Houdini successfully opened it.   
Hardeen had a key made for it and presented Houdini with it.
He describes all of this in an interview in 1947 which I have.
If you have the Dick Wresh book, it is shown on one or more of the pages.

What a nice article! Many rare cuffs presented.
The Berliner is interesting as the rebuilt is based on a Mühlenfeld Berliner.
