Congrats Arioch! Really nice, variation of the Pinkerton cuffs! I just checked my list and I do not have the swivel variation. (hint, hint) LOL!

I have never seen the box before and it is very nice.

I believe that after Tower ceased production, the Union Hardware Co. resumed making Tower cuffs and these Pinkerton models.  They liked using the swivels for both models once they got up and running.  I had thought of the swivel Pinkertons as the "Union Hardware Pinkertons" and I will have to look up when Tower Lyon Company started selling these in light of this new discovery.

Here is an odd Pinkerton/Darby that I will assume neither of us will be adding to our collections.  It was VERY tough to snap any pics at the SAM display they had a few years ago.
I wish I had a better pic of this  rare Houdini owned item.  Maybe there is a good pic from their archives.  We had to distract the guards to snag these pics.

The bottom pic is very unlikely a factory chain, but who knows if they had a special order for a large chain to fit or some reason.
The patina does not match so I am guessing that a jail or prison made the modification after they took possession of the cuff.
Would an escape artist need such a design?  Who knows!

Not directly related, but here is a set of Pinkertons that someone decided to add to a Fetters Neck Collar. I bought it like this and have had it for many years, now.
