S&W MODEL M 300 CHANGED TO W 300

Has anyone ever seen this????  I have a pair of S&W Hindged handcuffs Model M300 however the "M" is upside-down and it reads W300.  I acquired them sometime around 2005.

May we see a picture of the stamp, please?

After you type your message on a post, hit the "full Editor and Preview button, at the bottom, next to the Submit Button. It will take you to the next screen which has the Add files button. You can either drag and drop them in the designated space or can can select Add Files and it will pop up a window that allows you to search through your files and find the pic you want. After selecting the pic you want, click OPEN at the bottom of the screen. It will load the photo into the bottom section of the preview editor screen. To add the photo into your message, place the cursor where you want the image to appear and press the button next to the File Comment addition spot. The button you want to press is to the left of the trashcan, that sits at the end of the line with your picture. Once you have all of your text and the pics added how you want them, click the submit button. That will place your post, with the added photos into the post you are adding your comment to. Sometimes, you have to push submit twice. I dont know why it does that, but it happens to my posts, a lot. Hope that helps.

That is very strange. I have never seen that before. I would have thought that the M-300 would have been placed with 1 stamp? But that doesnt appear to be the case? I am not aware of a S&W W-300 Handcuff. Im willing to bet, this is a factory mistake. Somehow, in the stamping process, the "M" stamp was flipped. Nice find! Let me know if you ever want to sell it. Do you know what year it was made? 

The M-300 started production after the failure of the M-200 and M-210 Hinged handcuffs, in 1991. They remained in production until 2011. In 2011, the Model was switched to the M-300-1 and had the addition of raised rivet construction for extra added strength to the cuff body. The M-300-1 is still in production, currently.
