Smith & Wesson Model M-1800 handcuffs, not waist chain?

Hi fellow collectors,
I hope this finds you all well. I have searched the internet in general and this forum and have not been able to find reference to a Smith and Wesson handcuff model "M-1800" other than as a restraint chain with the separated cuffs. Have any of you come across this model? It is a standard set of handcuffs except it has a single O ring as a link between the cuffs rather than the standard two small chain links. I have never seen this anywhere else and am very curious!

A you referring to the T shaped 3 way S&W handcuff?

I have seen the M-1800 single ring handcuff that is being advertised on Ebay. Its not a "production" handcuff. Someone has taken the handcuffs from an M-1800 Belly Chain and welded a single ring between them. A friend and I do this quite often with special cuffs we sell through Ebay. This auction is not being ran by either of us, but looking at the pics, this cuff may have been one I sold in the past? The cuffs themselves are just standard M-100 handcuffs. They only have the M-1800 stamping on them, since thy came as part of a restraint Belly Chain set from the factory. The "T" shaped 3-way, is another cuff that is made by my friend. Made using standard M-100 cuffs.

Richard, thank you for the reply. Yes, this ebay "M-1800" handcuff is the one I was referring to. At least in the photos it looks like a factory quality customization. I was wondering at first if it were perhaps a super rare S & W model! I actually purchased them, mostly because I've often thought that it would make more sense to have an O ring or even two instead of the ubiquitous two small chain links, and I'd like to compare. I'll post more pictures when I get them and you can perhaps positively ID them as one of your custom modifications.

Its hard to say, who actually made it. If it was done by my partner, it would be a stainless steel ring (polished) and would be closed by tig welding. His welds look factory and could pass as such, if they were plated to match the rest of the cuff. He does an amazing job at welding these sets! Here is an example of some of his work, that was sold on Ebay a year or so ago.
