Us, as young collectors.

Many of us have been in the hobby for a very long time. I bought my first set of handcuffs at the age of 15, a set of Hiatt 1970. At the age of 18 I did the military service as a MP. At that time I went to a gun shop and bought a S&W 90 (blued) and a 94. In early 80's, I contacted old prisons and police stations on the country side for donations. As they saw no value in antique cuffs, I got many cuffs for free.

Now, it would be fun to see photos of yourself from the early years of your collecting. The earlier, the better.

I start out! The photo is taken around 1980 when I was 21 years old. As you can see, there are a few cuffs on the wall.

Where are the cuffs on the wall?
Oh, they are camouflaged.
At my age, I don't see very well.
But I do see a magnificent head of hair!
My first cuff was from about 1974 but I don't believe I have any pictures to show.

I dont have any pics of my collection, when I was younger. Never really took any? Any i could possibly find would likely still be 35mm film. I only started to document and actually cataloged the collection about 5 years ago. This was my original display cabinet for the collection in my younger years. Though this pic is only about 5 years old and still looks about the same, today. Space for the collection, has always been a huge issue.

Whats 35mm film ? Is that like an 8 track ?  :)

No they are very different, one is for images to look at and one is for recording sound to listening to.
