Hiatt eight question

I recently acquired this Hiatt eight cuff that has a no. 3 stamped on it and the no. 951 which is also stamped on the key but in reading through Joe’s excellent book on British cuffs I didn’t see a single key that looks like mine.

Can anyone help with this and maybe suggest a date of manufacture, sure hope I didn’t get hornswoggled.

That key is totally correct, a have quire a few of those and I only have them on the fig 8s. I believe it is older than the solid head keys.

Many thanks, that’s what I needed to see and it verifies that my key is legit because it has Hiatt stamped on one side and the cuff number on the other side but they are shallow and somewhat hard to read.

Spencer , your cuff is a heavy model than those in other images, I have not seen that type of contruction before. 
Nice find.  Something new for us all to see.
