A small price to pay to rid yourself of ice and it does it quietly, without too much noise! Unfortunately, this is not the even more rare Tower cuff model that is made of pure silver.

Embedded patten has part of, and enough of the letters to discover the the brand , date , and a mix of either the patten number and the corresponding Figure numbers for the alterations made that years US patten office. These unique emmbedded features date this as the First of the J. Tower double lock handcuffs. I have not been able to compare any handcuff in public sale that offered such features ( readable ) features as part of the sale. I am sure if the lucky buyer chooses to investigate more, they could figure out every letter and number and find more detail of who, when, and where this item was used which would make it much more valueable. If you are a collector and searching in this price range you should be able to recognize the details that authenticate it in your expertise as an item worth your collection. I recommend you compare it to museum artifacts of the same caliber for reference to its grade or originality as there are some out there. My reassurance to you is in the pictures. The items works with the key, box seems original and is light in weight. The material of the very special, and rare item melts ice quiet quickly. Which corresponds to the items material used during the Tower making, but do not confuse me it is not made of pure silver. "
