Ugly handcuffs

Handcuffs are made to do their job. I guess no manufacturer had any special thoughts of making great design when they made their inventions. A set of handcuffs don’t need to be beautiful, as long as they serve well. Still, some handcuffs turned out to be more beautiful than others. In no special order I can mention Marlin Daley, Carberry, Cummings, Phelps, RCS Ratchet cuffs and the "Stalin handcuffs". Very nice design to all of them. Other collectors probably have different favorites.
 
All modern ratchet cuffs are, according to my opinion, just ordinary even if they differ in shape. Most of the cuffs we know of are either beautiful or dull, they are just plain handcuffs.
 
Now to my point, we also have some really UGLY handcuffs. Again, it of course is in the eyes of the beholder. I have lots of ugly cuffs in my collection but there is a certain set that outgoes all other with no exception; the grotesque Carl Reher single handcuff. This cuff is as beautiful as the Elephant man or Quasimodo (from The Hunchback of Notre-Dame). It’s huge, heavily over dimensioned, made of aluminum and with a very odd purpose, to restrain a person to a stationary object. What is your ugliest cuff?

I have tried to get those ugly cuffs like you have, over the years, but it just was never in the cards for me.

To add to the topic of Ugly Cuffs, I present this little number, given to me as a gift from Stan Willis. All I know about them is that they were one of a series of prototypes of designs that were made by an escape artist. He did not have the gentleman's name, so I do not know who the maker actually is? They are constructed of aluminum and are rather small. I cannot get the cuff to close around my own wrist. They are blocky and not much to look at, im afraid.
