#6I'm not sure yet.. I know I've heard similar cuffs have sold for $25,000, $15,000, and $10,000. I will list them for less than that, but I have to look into Ebay fees, shipping and insurance.... I've had these for a long time, dug them out of a basement of a home where I used to live in Portland, ME. I'm not a collector myself, just thought they were cool. So I think it's time they went to someone who would appreciate them more than myself. At the same time, I'd like to get as much as I can for them as I need some new camera gear. (I'm a professional photographer)

#8Selling them on the Forum would be the cheapest for both parties. No fees and no buyers tax. I also would be interested in them.

#9Difficult decisions ahead here unfortunately James. eBay may get your more bidders, but plenty of fees. At the price these will go for, there aren't many with pockets as deep, and the market is soft right now - recommend reading the recent thread on the McKenzie Mitts, where the seller couldn't get anywhere near the price they were looking for sadly. Definitely some interest here though, and I'm also interested.

#10I do not have enough gas in the tank to make a bid for these. I can say that Ebay fees, currently, are 10% of selling price. You would be way better off, holding an "auction" of sorts on here. Maybe accept bids until a certain time on a certain day? Those interested could participate? Just an idea.

#11Thanks for all the info.. And yes, It seems Ebay does the 10%, Unless I temporarily opened am Ebay store at $25,00 per month, and then they only take 4%. But maybe I'll find another way to sell them. I'll have to think about this one, as I really don't need the cash until January.

There's trusted escrow services and sales from $1,000-$40,000 happen on the site almost weekly. #13With another pair of Kimball coming up for auction next month, I would suggest putting a price on the cuff and selling it. It has cost you nothing and you could make money. There is also a 1000 cuffs coming onto the market soon and people will have a choice of where and what to spend their money on. Greed might be your enemy here.

#14If anyone wants to send me an offer.. feel free.But I'm not going to give them away.. With the 1000's of cuffs coming onto the market, Doesn't bother me. t's not greed it's common sense. There are few pairs out there, no one is building a time machine to go back and build more. This pair I've been told by some of you might be a prototype due to the Pat pend and the no hole in the key, Also, I'm not in a mad rush to sell them, I am just not a collector. So I have them and it would be nice to see them in the hands of a collector. I am a photographer and I would like some new gear, but again, I don't need new gear. So yeah, I am open to offers.. I was offered one but turned it down. Again.. in no hurry to sell.. but yeah.. that's where I stand.

#15Everyone that thinks something is remarkably special calls it a "prototype", A prototype is the first few in the evolution of the design, you would have to have the final design to say for sure, and that has never been shown to exist. #16So I went to post my Kimballs on FB this past week but they have since changed their settings, to where they no longer use paypal, I tried setting it up, but for some reason it is not taking my post. I see the other's sold at auction this week, If anyone would like to make me an offer, let me know Cabal@maine.rr.com. If you are somewhat local, we can meet in person to see the cuffs, otherwise if someone from away buys them, I will ship UPS signature required, with insurance.
