Found this company mentioned in another forum.  Very weird and impractical design in at least US law enforcement use.  Cannot imagine fighting a non complaint suspect non stop for a minute or two and trying to apply these....

Thanks for your post with the link to the company.  This is the first I have heard about them.  They do look interesting and I just ordered a pair.

I also ordered a pair since they are an odd set of cuffs.

The promotional video shows a lot of rolling around on the floor just to get one cuff on. Once that's on we're not shown how to apply the second cuff - and it would be good to have a clear explanation as to how the 2 cuffs are linked together.

The video is interesting, when we meet on the 24th it will all make sense on how the two halves lock together. Don’t think they will ever become number 1 best sellers but the box and presentation is the best I have ever seen.

If the cuffs are to be worn while in halves , are they to be assembled before use? or once each cuff is fastened to each wrist?
I am sure these will go the way of most other unique designs, like Maxx-kuff and Gotcha, collectable.

These are used, basically as a cuff come-along. Locked on the wrist as a single cuff and pressure is applied to get the prisoner to relinquish their other wrist to be cuffed with a single cuff, then the two halves are joined together to complete the restraint of the individual. I agree with these being an idea that just wont make it in the marketplace. Especially at their retail price point. Its an interesting idea, but i dont see it taking off. It has been out for a number of years, now.

Thanks for that response Chris. Yep, we'll get together on 24th June (UK Covid lockdown restraints(!) permitting) when no doubt all will be revealed. Meanwhile, sounds as though the box and presentation might be the best part of the package although I venture to suggest that no collection should be without a pair.

I ordered a pair of these about three weeks ago.  Have not received any communication from them at all about my order.  An email to them has also been unanswered.  I paid via PayPal so I will give it a bit and see if they come.

I placed my order on May 25th and received an Email from them acknowledging the order and the PayPal payment.  I have not heard anything more about shipping.  I'll give it a few more weeks before I take further action.

Ron.  Since I have not heard any order status or a reply to email thru their website I sent another email to the one used for the PayPal transfer.  Been in contact with Simon from S Ten Cuffs.  He informed me that their server was hacked so it sounds like they are unable to see orders etc.  So Ron or anyone else that recently placed an order, if you have not heard from them about your order contact them using the email address it was sent to.  They then can back track it and get it on the way to you.  FYI

See my reply to Ron,s post above.  I’ve been in contact with S Ten.  Their website server was hacked but any payments or orders are secure.  They just don’t get the order info a normal way right now.

Thanks for the information.  I did reply to them with the email and got a reply, maybe from the hackers, that was a big red screen saying don't open it.  I didn't.

I sent emails by replying to the statement I received.  I received no response.  I then went to their web site and there I found everyones email.  I sent my statement directly to the owner.  Got a fast response stating my cuff will be shipped in the morning and apologized for the delay.  Should receive the cuff in a few weeks or so.

Same response I got from them.  Sounds like the website they have have issues.  Anyone who orders from them should follow it with an email to the email on the papal account to get it shipped at this point.

I received my cuff today. There are two conventional S&W cuffs with attached hard plastic handles.  One is hollow and slips over the other and locks to it.  You can then take a standard handcuff  key to release each cuff and to unlock the parts from each other.

It is a clever design, that all handcuff collectors should have in their collection.  I will let the experts comment on the practicality of the design for use in the field.  At the minimum they are a fine pair of rigid cuffs.

I also paid them for my cuff on May 27th.
I wrote to them last week and inquired about a shipping date and asked if if were too late to order an extra key.
They never wrote back but an hour ago, I received the cuff and an extra key was also sent.
The key is unique as it has a clip on it not unlike a clip on a pen.
I did not realize that they were coming from New Zealand.  That fact coupled with their computer getting hacked, made for the nearly month long arrival.
An interesting design but my concern is that the key activated cuff separating switch seems to be made of plastic.  I don't plan on using these for anything but collecting, but if I used these in service, this seems very possible that they would wear out.
There were no instructions in the box and it seems odd that one could turn the actuator to the unlock position and withdraw the key.
The bad guy could press the release button (probably tough to do with his hands but maybe by pushing up against a stationary object) to release the 2 halves.
Other than these findings, they are well made and designed.
I wish the manufacturer well and hope they sell many.  I know they had to spend lots of $$ in R&D and need to recoup their funds.
These will most likely be a collectors item, so get yours now!

Interestingly, the two halves can be joined together  - so that the KEYHOLES are EITHER on the same side...or on opposite sides.

Yes,  Thank you.  I was going to mention that one could join the 2 halves with the same key hole orientation or opposing.
Oddly, they will fit back into their box only when both keyholes are facing up.

There are 2 locking tabs inside the tube and they have 3 ratchets on each tab to insure proper grip.
This concept is very unique and secure.  A very well thought out design.  The plastic casing is "glass reinforced acetal". and the lock is Duplex Stainless Steel .

Being that I am unfamiliar with Glass Reinforced Acetal, I found this;  Glass Filled Acetal Homopolymer / Copolymer - Glass Fiber Filled Acetal / Delrin | Emco Industrial Plastics (emcoplastics.com)

Edit-- I don't know why the link won't work but I did read that most of us know this material as "Delrin".

I also received my cuffs today.  The size of each cuff is a little smaller than what I used on duty with S&W and Peerless.  These would would work great with individuals with small wrists.  I also received an extra key with my set of cuffs.  Also came in a nice box but no real instructions on how the cuffs separate or locked back together.

I’m retired LEO and these will be added to my collection as a nice well made set that is odd.

Not wanting to 'take apart' the S-10 Handcuffs...does anyone know what (brand) handcuffs are utilized in them?

Interesting question.
I assumed that they machined all the bits and pieces in the manufacturing process.
Getting the bulk of the cuffs supplied to them certainly would reduce their start up costs.
As we know, Peerless went that route.

I did take my cuffs apart by pushing a locking pin out.  They look exactly like S&W cuffs but have no stampings on them marking them as theirs.  The locking pin goes thru the chain part of the swivel.

Top pic shows the red plastic key activated cam that lowers one of the ratchet bars that clicks onto the other ratchet bar in the inactive side of the cuff (Bottom pic)

The other ratchet bar gets released by the red external release button and it works whether the key activated lock is switched on or not.

In other words, the button releases one of the ratchet bars in any position.  The key controlled ratchet bar raises or lowers when the key is turned.  When locked, the bar makes contact with its matching locking bar.

Curious to know if there are exposed rivets on the cuff or if they are ground down smooth on the cuff surface once removed from the case

Hi Ian

At the moment the cuff is a S&W M100-1 design, but it can also come as a S&W M1 or S&W M110 for our Security/Police customers and their bulk contract requirements, we can also upgrade current in-use equipment at a cost saving.

We also have the ability to adapt the system to other cuffs such as peerless, but our own cuff design is currently still in R&D due to costs constraints and the complexities of stress testing plastics.

Kind and Warm Regards
