Code 4 cuffs

These cuffs have been discussed on this forum previously and I've contacted the company on numerous occasions over the last few years,  in fact as recently as January of this year. A fairly prompt response from them stated that they were still working through the production details and that Covid had made things more challenging. I also asked whether they planned to produce a chain version of the cuffs, to which the response was that their focus is on the hinged model. Their website is still operational but very much as it has been since it first appeared.

Does anybody have any more up-to-date info?

I have gotten the same run around from them, for the last few years. I had some one on one emails with someone at the facotry, last eyar. It lasted for 4 or 5 emails, back and forth. But, no new information came from it, really. Basically that they will bring them to market soon and that COVID was the reason for the delay. Of course, when I talked to them, years before COVID, they said that they would be at market soon and were experiencing some delays with materials, tooling, etc. Now, i just get the canned responses from them.

I've been looking back over old emails ..... I first contacted Code4 in June 2015 and received a prompt response from their "Director of Sales". Further exchanges of emails followed and in February 2016 I called him to try to get a verbal update. He sounded like a really nice guy but there was no new news and it seemed clear that they hadn't done much in the way of market research, particularly when I asked him about shipping overseas - I'd previously made it clear that I'm a collector from England. He moved the conversation on to pricing, explained that they hadn't yet arrived at any prices. He again moved the conversation on to the cost of cuffs in the UK, as a result of which I sent him a copy of the TCH (then current) price list. [Thinks: he probably got s bit of a shock when he saw what TCH charge for their kit].
Occasional emails between us continued, always with the optimistic comments that were, basically, "we're almost there". My last email on 21 January this year brought the response:
Soooo ..... I wish them well but I'm not holding my breath guys.

Has anyone else tried their luck with these guys?

I have heard from other sources that the project for this cuff has been scrapped. They could not find a financial backer to proceede with the design and manufacturing of the Code 4 cuffs.

Translated to: Once someone pays for production of our products, we will let you know. I think I have been on their "update list" for at least 4 to 5 years now? Never have received anything from them.
