I have bid on some of these items.
Some I won but most went for more than I was willing to pay.
This is about 20 years worth of images I collected.

Could this be a pic from the future from when Mark finally retires?

Way to go Mark I never get tired of looking at those old photos of bygone escape artists and hope that one day someone will do a book about Houdini’s competitors even if just a collection of photos.

Yes, but I was in uncharted territory with that comment.
I was expecting more reaction from this with my very warped sense of humor.

Here are a couple more postcards featuring cuffs.

Nils posted a similar photo of Musee in Cain, France some time ago in a separate blog.
This one is dated 1908 and I just bought one that is described as a "map" so I am not sure what it is that shall arrive from France soon.
It was not very expensive, and I hope it will be larger than a postcard but will be fine if it is.

Check out the long bar Bean handcuffs that Jack Dieman has on, I can’t recall seeing another set of these.

Just to echo what's already been said, thanks for posting these Mark!  

This is a photo of the printing block used by this Escape Artist for his advertising window cards.  I have had it for many years and so far no-one has been able to identify him.  I have watched many auctions from Potter and Potter and he has not shown up.  I have asked many collectors without any luck.  I guess he may be in his jacket for quite a while.
