A Great Visit!

A couple of months ago I had my good friend Mark Lunblad visit with me. We did the usual New York things when friends come to town. We visited with Lauher, Glenn, Vince,  Roger Dreyer's Houdini Museum, Houdini's grave...  even got to watch Mark open a 100 year old safe that was amazing to see! 
 But this trip we finally got to do something Mark, Bushey and I had been talking about doing for years but for some reason it never came to be? 
Well Mark and I finally made it. John sure would have enjoyed making this trip and to say the least he was surely missed! Mark and I drove up to the Brimfield flea market. What a flea market!  The both of us were not disappointed we walked for hours... Mark came away with some good stuff a tool he had been looking for made by the Union Hardware Co. (we had stumbled on another flea market the next day in the old Union Hardware building that was pretty cool) a few common handcuffs, a real nice Irish eight, some keys, some locks and a Houdini Big little book. I was able to picked up a Hiatt bar legiron with keys. All in all it was a Great visit! In the words of Bob Seger "see some old friends good for the soul"

Mark is a great guy! I missed getting to see him, last year, at the Crossroads of America Lockshow in Indianapolis. But, he and I do talk back and forth on the phone a bit. Im hoping to catch up with him soon. Glad you guys had some time together and were able to knock a few things off of your list! Thats a nice set of bar leg irons as well!

The Hiatt is nice and never seen one.
The other picture of Mark opening a safe seemed familiar because I thought it was THIS Mark opening a safe.
This is a usual pose for me too.  One time not too long ago, I opened a safe on a search warrant and found a suicide victim in it.
I hope Mark only found some greenery.

Mark, Thanks the legirons both have a nice clear Hiatt stamp on them came with two original keys didn't come cheap! The photo of Mark is at Vince's brothers garage there was 65 cents in the safe. Come visit soon I'll buy the White Castle's
