Yes, that is a good deal for a set of Mattatuck handcuffs. But, the Mattatuck Handcuffs have a locking system that is a bit complex and is prone to failure. Buying one without a key is rolling the dice on if they work properly or not. Its also taking a chance that you will someday be able to find a key for a set of mattatuck cuffs.

A good way to judge current pricing for a particular set of cuffs is to look on Ebay and click the box that allows you to look at "sold items." Then look for the name of the cuffs you want to look up. This will give you a window of a few month of what auctions for that cuff sold for through Eaby in that time frame. Of course, the cuff would have had to have had an auction in the last few months. Since a Mattatuck is a very common U.S. made vintage cuff, there are several auctions on Ebay that have recently sold. The prices of those, will give you an idea of a fair price. The ones that come with working keys will have pulled more money than one like this set. I just looked them up and similar to the one you show, with no key, sold for about $60 to $80.
