Here I go again. Anyone ever see one of these or know who made this?

Saw these on eBay and I’m just curious about them. I have never seen a Darby that looked like these because of the hinge. Anyone ever see these or have any information on them? Thanks, Ron J

My best guess is they are Reuben Craddock and Son and the broad arrow indicates that they were intended for military use and RCS did supply many irons for the military.

You have a pair of JG handcuffs. They are similar, but different than the more common RCS fake backstrap handcuffs.
I do not know who made the JG cuffs.  The are military cuffs and examples are known dated 1941, 1943 and 1952. 
In addition to the RCS and JG cuffs there is a third company MCI that also made fake backstrap Darbies during the war.

These are marked JG on the lock barrel just before the number 1943 so does that still make them RCS? Thanks for all the input everyone. Ron J

I was wrong about them being RCS cuffs they are indeed JG cuffs as marked, I was giving it my best guess.

So what would a pair of these JG Darby’s be worth? What would be to much for them? Ron J

I have a JG 1952. I gave $100 for mine a long time ago. Generally, the false backstraps usually settle around $100 to $125. Of course, condition does drive some lower and some higher. The RCS and the JG false backstraps are pretty regular on Ebay. The MCI false backstrap is the harder one to find, so far. Cant confirm it or anything, but I have always felt that R.C.S. may have also made the JG false backstrap darbys. Again, thats only an educated guess on my part.
