I will post my first item paying tribute to Mr. Jean-Michel ROBIN.
For those who have his books, here is first one appearing on page 214 of his second book: a pair of handcuffs with the initials "CFGOM / 7" (Command of the overseas Gendarmerie Forces, 7th region ).
This command structure was in operation from 1964 to 1987 and was located in the Paris region. They never gone to overseas.
This model complies with the patent filed by the RIVOLIER company in January 1947 (as the "type 1948" and "type 1955" models of the French National Gendarmerie.
(of course, as you can see, in my collection i let Mr. ROBIN's inventory's number when i have to refer to his books, and the second on in the handcuff is mine).
These were issued with special keys (here this is numbered 0956), unfortunately one of the locks was destroyed by drilling, probably to be able to unlock the handcuffs? (simple guess).

Secondly i show you now one of the models issued to the overseas forces' officers.
These were issued with a different print than the ones issued to the metropolitan Gendarmerie forces: "Gendarmerie Outre-Mer" (overseas Gendarmerie):
They came with a different keys and locks numbering too, with an "OM" printed, (instead of the "G" seen on the keys and locks of the metropolitan's Gendarmerie handcuffs):
