How opportune that you just posted this.
A few hours ago I had a mini Zoom Meeting with our British collector friends and the topic of Flash Action cuffs came up.
Nice to know more history about them!
I just wanted to point out that the page grabs are in GIF? format with some sort of built in expiration date. I had them on my computer quite a while ago and wanted to share them here but they vanished leaving a "gif expired' error message. I only just yesterday just found where I originally screenshot the pages, but this time it forced me to sign-up before I could even just view em. If anyone is more computer savvy than me and knows how to take off the expiry date, or convert the format or just make the images a bit more permanent that would be amazing!
Glad you liked seeing this, as I find it fascinating that it was written first-hand by a collector, who is also an inventor/manufacturer, and how long ago it was written at that. How ironic now is it that Mr. Gill's products are so collectable in their own right.
I wonder why he described the bean giants as being "Made" by Houdini?

#4I googled it and found them in PDF format. The end of the article is cut off, but when you download the next article on explosives, the end of the first article is there. I'll post them below. The photo of the cuffs is much clearer in your GIF version though. You can also just screenshot the GIF images into JPG and they won't expire that way.
I'll post JPEG screenshots of your GIF images in a few minutes also.
