Is the Chinese copy really any good or not?

#2The Chinese copy is not as good quality wise as the TCH or Hiatt or any of the name brand manufacturers. In general, they usually have sharper, unfinished edges and just not made from the same quality material as their counterparts. That being said, the chinese version of this cuff, will get the job done. They do work and the lock/double locks function. The locks are not quite as smooth as the TCH, etc are. If youre looking for a cuff to play around with, the chinese ones will work for you. If you wanted something to use for security purposes, spend the extra to get the TCH.

I have a set of these and They are definitely good enough to restrain anyone in my uneducated experience!

Chinese handcuffs are very different, because they are made by many manufacturers, and not all "police quality" with a breaking force of more than 1500N. As a sample, a "homemade" test of various handcuffs, in which Noname Chinese handcuffs show a very poor result.
