Chicago Model 1200 Hinged

Recently came across these handcuffs but know nothing about them. The model is the "Chicago Model 1200 Hinged." Does anyone know much about the company who makes them?  Are these real police quality handcuffs/NIJ certified?  Are made in the USA?  How do they compare to S&W or Peerless hinged cuffs?

I doubt they're made in the USA, I'll see if there's any country of origin marks on one of the boxes.  They're well made though.

Box says made in Taiwan. Website only states the X55 is NIJ approved.

I never knew the connection.

Interesting info. Thought they would have been made in the USA. Since they are not NIJ approved I won't be using them. I'll just stick with my Peerless.
