J.G. duplicates?

In Your book “British Handcuffs” Copyright 2004 on page 89 is a pair of J.G. darby cuffs stamped 1952 with an arrow on the bottom case, and K.E. 2770 {serial number?} on the inner side of case & two keys
With matching K.E. 2770 and an arrow on them

In February I purchased a pair of the EXACT same cuffs on ebay, stamped J.G. 1952 with an arrow on the bottom case, and K.E. 2770 {serial number?} on the inner side of case & two keys with matching K.E. 2770 and an arrow on them, also on one cuff is stamped 410 with an arrow, on the side of the lock case near key hole

At the time I saw this I thought “mabey you sold your cuff and it ended up on ebay”

Then over this weekend on ebay I saw a pair of the EXACT same cuff up for auction, stamped with same J.G. 1952 with arrow, same K.E. 2770, same two keys K.E. 2770 with arrow, same 410 with arrow on side near key hole

I don’t know what to make of this, I know little is known of this company
Could the K.E. 2770 is a lot number not a serial number?
Could they be fake?
Any thoughts from you or anyone out there would be appreciated.
I can show 3 pictures of the cuff, if you tell me how to do it

The K.E. number is not a serial number, it is a model number. I have now seen several pairs with this number includine one pair of Hiatts.

When I first saw a pair I assumed it was a serial number, but I was wrong.

So you don't have my pair. They are still here.

I also have a pair of these strap hinge Darby style JG cuffs.
1952 with arrow, and KE2770 on inside of each lock tube. again, anyone with information on exactly who, or where, these were made please let us know. Thanks, John
