Roger Rabbit Handcuffs

I came across the auction for the actual set of cuffs used in the filming of the Live action/cartoon movie, Roger Rabbit. They are a set of Hiatt 1960 cuffs with a modified center connection. The spring loaded mechanism, was designed to give the cuffs rigidity, but allowing for some movement to simulate Roger's wrist being in the them, during the filming. The ring connections were also fused together, to help give the look that Roger was pulling away from Eddie, in the movie. One side of the cuffs was sealed shut, while the other side still functioned. They did use real cuffs for this, since the foam rubber versions they use for other films, wouldnt have been able to simulate the movements of actual cuffs very well. Not to mention that the story line of the Roger Rabbit story takes place in 1947 and the handcuffs they chose to use, did not exist then.
