#1Hello to the group, from your friend in Illinois! I just wanted to share a few of my latest finds and acquisitions for my collection. The buying/selling market has been a bit slow as of lately. But, that hasnt completely stopped me. I was able to pick up some things. In this pic is an odd unknown backstrap darby. Ive never seen one quite like this? If anyone knows anything or has one similar, please share. There is also a set of German 1920s Leg irons with a key. Most collectors believe this set to have been made by Horst Stein. But, after talking with Michael Busch in Germany, he let me know that Horst Stein did not make restraints at the time when this wold have been made? So, as for right now, the maker is just unknown. A set of 1979 Marlin Daley Model 1 Bottlenecks with one of Ian's keys. They look great and work great! The key operates them perfectly! This key and the Tower Double lock keys were probably two of the best keys Ian made at the time. A set of Gotcha Hinged cuffs. Finally was able to add a Gotcha to my collection! Oddly enough, i found that a key that was made for me by Ron Jones for use with a Judd Handcuff, work with this set! The lock mechanism is very similar to a Judd, but instead of just a triangle shaped piece under the center post, the entire post is triangle shaped. The springs are very stiff, making these almost impossible to pick open. A model 1 Variation 1 Peerless handcuff made by S&W. It is in near mint condition and works flawlessly! A Henry Repeating Arms Handcuff. This one does have a few scratches and gouges, mainly on the back side. Signs that somebody removed the pins to remove the pawl and center post, likely to repair them at some point. But, the signs of repair are on one side that has a weak spring. It still locks and functions, but not a very stiff ratchet on the one side. These will be a place holder in my collection, until i find a better pair to take their place. Last, is a set of Hiatt Model 1960 Handcuffs, but this set is factory made in black. I had never seen one in black before, so I had to buy it! LOL! It might as well have been listed as new, never used. they are in prefect shape!
