Walking Tall--Buford Pusser Handcuffs.

If anyone is familiar with the movie Walking Tall (1st release 1973 and remake 2004), it is a semi fictionalized story of a wrestler named Buford Pusser who vowed to eliminate the corrupt businesses and politicians in his town.  He eventually was elected Sheriff and muscled the bad guys out at great cost to himself and family. He used a 4 foot wooden club to show the bad guys who is boss.  His story was also a short lived TV series.

His badges and handcuffs were displayed in a museum and are now being offered on eBay.
I have been watching the cuffs for a week and they are currently over $1,000.  They are JayPee or other cheap cuffs.  They come with a Letter of Authenticity.

One of the badges just sold for $4,200.  A member here at the Forum advised that he was known for giving friends or others several badges with his name on it.
The winner of the badge today is now a member of the Buford Pusser Badge Club.  There may be a dozen or more members.  I saw one at a gun show and am not certain if it the the one from today or one of many.

I am not sure if handcuffs were treated the same way as the badges but being that they are not the typical Peerless or S&W cuff, my suspicion is high enough for me to bow out.

The auction ended just now with a winning bid of $3,835.
I hope others will show up when owners realize that they can get some big bucks for these.  Assuming that there are others.
