Bean Giant Patent Applied For variation / Model

Hello everyone.  I have a Bean Giant which is marked on the side of the hasp "PAT. APL'D, FOR. .  Of the other five I have had over the past 45 years, this is the first one I have had or seen mark Patent Applied For.  Has anyone else seen or have one.  Shawn  handcuff911@gmail.com

I have one, but I don't think I noticed it before. It has been hanging
up closed for some time.

I have one example of a Bean Giant, but mine doesnt have any Patent information on it, at all.

I also have one like yours with the "PAT. APL'D, FOR.  on the bow.

My mind is getting rusty The first Bean  handcuffs had the date on the bow. Prison,
Patrolman and Bean Giant. The first model Prison model used a barrel key, date on bow.
Second model, used a solid key. Some had dates on bow, then from  then on dates
were on the swivel linkage. I have seen 3 Bean Giants with Pat Applied For but no pat date.

No markings on mine.
