Howdy folks,

(disclaimer - question is highlighted in bold below!)

I just thought I'd put the feelers out for a variety of items I'd be interested in procuring at some point. Half of which I know will be next to impossible to obtain but hey, one can dream, right? In short, I tend to go for the more modern end of things and am interested in non-standard keys, high security, etc. Further to that, I also keep my eyes peeled for my neighbour too (as well as alerting a few other people, just in case!) for whom I've aided in getting a few things :)

I would like to give a *massive* thank you to @djhalfdead @holstcollection and @chriscuffs6 for their assistance in helping me (and my neighbour for that matter) obtain some of what I'm seeking! So, here goes:

Handcuffs:
Code4cuffs - has ANYONE ever heard or seen or used these before? I can't find anything about them anywhere! https://code4cuffs.net/#home

Bonowi rigid - I assume these are the Alfa Proj hybrids?

LTH/TKS - already got TKS on route, but curious if LTH is actually different?

I have Goncz - Peruvian and Los Angeles Prisoner Transports in nickel. Maybe a black version or two as well, but my supply is almost gone now.
The Hi-Security is NO different from the other versions, minus some extra heat treating and markings. They all take a standard key.
Goncz did experiment with high security keys, but Iam not aware of one with a different style key. I have seen his prototype cuff with a poofed keyway that is similar to the S&W 104. It was a high security in the sense that picking would be harder to do, but a Peerless key would still work.

I have 2 Hugo Stanleys.
Both are in very good condition but one of them has trouble deadlocking. It locks and unlocks perfectly.
They say that there are many intricate parts in them as Stanley was a watchmaker and applied his skill into these cuffs.

The other is flawless. Prices are based on what I paid for them, and they were expensive. The one with deadlock issues was my first one and I was very happy o have it until an almost mint one came along.
Both had non original keys, but I was still elated as these are so rare and only know of only 3 fellow collectors who have these in their collections.
A 3rd one showed up with an original key, so my compulsion made me fixate on that, so now I have 3. I want to find new homes for the two.
I have Bonowis too. Probably not the kind you are looking for.

Much of what is on your list, is on mine as well. Some rare ones to find on there. Ralkem/Alfa Proj. are basically the same cuffs. The ones i have anyway are identical matches except for the markings and stamps on them. The hiatt Hss9 version of a Leg Iron is a real thing but only a few were made. I have seen pics of 1 or 2 pairs, i believe. I know Chris Gower had one at one time, but I believe he sold it? The Code4 and Spidercuffs have been advertised for a long time, but I have emailed both companies, several times. I have even placed an order with Spidercuffs, almost a year ago. I have never be given a release date that has proven to be true. The cuffs are always delayed for some reason or another. I have yet to see anyone be able to show the actual cuffs except for the ones on the company's websites. Hoping to see them both available soon and able to be purchased by collectors. I have never seen a Bonowii Leg Iron? not sure if they are currently producing one or not? It would be a great piece to have, if they did! They make good quality stuff. The Hybrid Alfa Proj/Bonowii Rigid cuff is another that was sold for a very short time. I tried to buy one, but was outbid. I havent had another chance to buy one, since.

The Hiatts BL1HSS-9 legirons are real. Here's a picture of my set. I was once told only 25 of these were made but have no way to confirm it.

I had a feeling the vast majority of this would be the case to say the least! What a pity about the Code4 and Spidercuff eh...to think they could be earning extra dollar from the likes of us!

The only place I've seen Bonowi leg irons and their rigid pair mix with AlfaProj was here https://haschmidt.com/index.php?route=p ... uct_id=266 - but it's been confirmed that this site is to be avoided at all costs! *sigh*

I assume when you talk about the Goncz high security cuffs you mean the ones with the raised turret to them. This makes it a lot harder to insert picks etc and they have very strong springs.
I do have the Hugo Stanley and it is interesting that the turret is virtually the same. Obviously different type keys.
Peter showed a photo of his Hiatt HSS 9 Legirons. I have a set and traded a set with Stan Willis many years ago (think you probably got your set from him). They are rare and Harry LaTrobe told me only 25 were made I know of just 4 in the UK.

You're absolutely right on the Goncz! I forgot where I originally saw them now but I did save this photo from the source (and I apologise now if it came from here and I just haven't realised/put two and two together!) Although I am somewhat confused by differing opinions regarding the Goncz High Security and whether or not they actually are more secure? My amateur knowledge knows little, alas.

So if my eyes don't deceive me, @chriscuffs6 , your photo shows Hugo Stanleys, something I'm not familiar with (would love to know more!), Goncz high security and Gotcha from top to bottom?

Those HSS9 Legirons just look absolutely nothing short of simply spectacular! I can only wonder why they were never made any further (or indeed a TCH version)

The 2nd cuff down is an Italian Hsndcuff. In an odd sort of way High Security as it takes a V shaped double bitted key. Think it dates from the 1940’s and only know of one other.

Ah very good! Looks like an excellent piece to say the least :) the key shape is very curious! I suspect the mechanism is also more...not sure how to describe it, secure? for lack of a better word!
