this is an interesting listing. GDR (East German) handcuffs with D.R.G.M. markings. The DGRM (Deutsches Reich Gebrauchsmuster) was a German copyright designation used until the end of WW 2, or slightly after. The German Democratic Republic (East Germany) existed from 1949 to 1989/90. So that doesn't really match. We always thought it was an East German design, created after 1945.
I've often had the suspicion that the design for the 4 types of GDR handcuffs (and irons), this one being the heavy set, was based on a late WW 2 design, or that the prototypes were already there and just put into serial production by the communists (the same is true for the East German Stahlhelm, steel helmet btw - a late WW 2 design).
The question is, are the markings real? What do the second markings say? "RSH 6A"? Could be "Reichssicherheitshauptamt", which would be WW2.
