TCH vs SPEEDCUFFS

just wondering how the quality of tch straight bar handcuffs measures up to hiatts speedcuffs.. tch are about $30 cheaper at dhw...

also wanted to ask your opinions on the length of hinged and straight bar handcuffs... seems they are usually quite a bit longer than any given chain model.. making it easier to slide your hands from the back to the front for smaller subjects..

wonder how you prevent back to the front manipulation.. a shorter distance between the cuffs is all i can think of..

TCH and Hiatt are identical. The only difference is they are manufactured in different countries based on the exact same design. The plastic grips are different, but as far as strength and design, they are the same. Hiatt sold their business to an American company but the old British Hiatt continued eventually under the new name TCH using all their same old equipment and designs etc.

Hinged cuffs and rigid gives much less flexibility. So much better to stop people going from back to front with their arms. But nothing is perfect. That's why handcuffed people are not supposed to be left unattended for long periods.
