They look awfully similar to Alcyon hinged but maybe even better

This type of Alcyon handcuffs (models 5010, 5020, 5030 and similar) are discontinued due to serious flaw in lock)

Then I wonder why Blackfield continues to sell them unless I just found left over inventory from multiple retailers but clearly Blackfield looks like some kind of private label deal with Alcyon 

You know I'm starting to think theres only a few true handcuff manufacturers around the world much like with semiconductors and consumer computers..

And all these brands use one of the few manufacturers to design and produce their handcuffs.. and most of the factories are probably located in China..

I do not like the alcyon with the keyway at that angle. They had big big problems. They were relatively ok if you used their key but if you used normal keys they don't last long. The company told me they discontinued the mechanism. If they brought it back and fixed the issues, I would be interested in getting a pair or two.
