H&R Supers: UNplated 2nd model

In Joe Lauher's 2006 "Handcuff Annual", Brad Darling wrote a terrific cover-story on the history of the H&R Supers.

On page 82, he writes:

" As of this writing, I have never seen a 2nd Model with any finish other than nickel plated. If anyone has a differently
   finished 2nd Model, I would much appreciate a photo and information".

He cites that only the 1st Models came in 3 finishes: Nickel, Blue, and White.  (I assume that "White" means "UNplated" -JF)

I have a long overdue inquiry:

I have an UNplated 2nd Model    (2nd models have the milled groove in the bows).....SEE PHOTO.

I know that Mark Lyons has one in his collection too.

Now, 17 years after the publication of Brad's article....Are UNplated 2nd Model H&R Supers still considered "Unknown"?
...and what's the story about those that do exist?

Updated: Art Fox was there with us, too.

I told them I wanted to make a run for it. They both said no, they wanted to wait until we could walk.

So I busted out alone. Don’t know what happened to them.

I guess they let anyone into the National Police Collectors Show.

A pleasure to see the unplated Mr. H&R 123 aka Brad Darling at the show with some H&R Supers and Towers with Patent Stops.





Also ran into Arthur Fox here too.



Long Beach Police had this shotgun locked to the vintage Dodge Coronet dashboard (Same style & year car as seen in Adam 12) for over 8 YEARS.
None of their keys worked anymore.
They heard that a locksmith was in the house and requested my services.  I had a rental car with no tools with me, not even oil.
Somehow, some way, I got it open....luck or the golden touch, I don't know, but they treated me like a celebrity hero.
It was a FUN time at the show.
No new cuffs and no cuff sales, but I did score some spectacular badges for the collection!
